Personal health and fitness are two of the most sought after components of life. Whatever your reasons are for setting fitness and/or weight loss goals, you need to train your mind and spirit alongside your body. All three exist in conjunction with each other: rebuilding your physical health is futile if you aren’t also restoring balance to the other two.
Training Your Body
By increasing your lean body mass, with the combination of cardiovascular training and proper nutrition, you will achieve your fitness goals with ease. These are the three key aspects to training your body:
- Resistance training: This is the basis of weight loss. By increasing your lean body mass, you will increase your metabolic rate. A high metabolism burns calories and helps keep the weight off. Fighting osteoporosis is necessary for mature clientele and resistance training will help increase your bone density. Lean body mass reduces total overall fat mass so building your body through strength exercises is essential to your overall fitness goals.
- Cardiovascular training: Training the heart is extremely important. Your heart health must be strong in order for your body to work efficiently and effectively. To burn the calories consumed daily, aerobic exercise must be included in your fitness routine. Incorporating cardiovascular training to increase the size and strength of the heart is important to accomplish your overall health and fitness goals.
- Diet and nutrition: Nourishing our bodies is crucial to our overall health. Exercise alone will not provide you with the weight loss results you desire. Portion controlled, nutritious meals combined with daily exercise will help you accomplish your health and fitness goals. Healthy eating habits can be difficult to form and a personal fitness coach can help you with this.

Training Your Mind & Spirit
You are one with the Universe and to maintain this connection, you must create balance within your three core elements. You must imagine yourself as physically fit in order to accomplish your fitness goals. With affirmative training through a fitness coach, you will learn to visualize yourself as the healthiest person you can be. Reciting affirmations during your fitness training will help you to believe what is already true. Your mind and spirit are whole and complete; by becoming physically fit, you are restoring balance within yourself.
