DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 26 ”Love, the Greatest Healer”

The Body Connection:  One of the issues we face when starting a workout program is that we don’t like the way we look.  We begin to associate what we look like with how we should feel. We allow our self-love to be conditional based upon our current dress or shirt size.  The challenge is to love our self from the jump.  If we allow our external appearance to affect how we feel, we will not achieve inner peace because it was contingent on an external goal.  We must infuse our workouts with Love.  We must learn to love our self from the beginning to the end.  Self-love should be the one and only goal for our transformation.  Stay focus on the real intention, self-love and that is the greatest healer of all.

Meditative Thought: Love is an all-powerful source that is the essence of our life.  We are made from love, created to know more of it.  When we are in the middle of disease, a lack of ease in the mind, body, and/or spirit, it is Love that restores us back to health.  Love is the greatest healer but we must be willing to allow the healing to happen through love.  Every thing, every situation, every person is a reminder of love or a call for Love.  Whenever we choose to transform our minds, bodies, or spirits, the journey is a return to self-love.  The Course in Miracles says that there are only two thoughts: a thought of fear or a thought of love.  Our yes to renew our selves is a yes to reconnect with our true nature of Love, which is the only healing that we need.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to Love.  Mindfully move through your day by asking the question, “Am I acting from love or am I acting from fear?”  It doesn’t matter what you are doing—working, interacting with a co-worker, driving down the highway—be aware of where you are doing it from.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I move, live, and have my being in Love.  Amen
